Strawberry Lemonade

This sweet drink is perfect for an afternoon in the garden with the kids. This natural drink can be made with the kids, making it a fun and easy activity for them too.


  • 8 large strawberries, halved
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 7 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice

Place strawberries and sugar in blender. Pour 1 cup water over sugared strawberries. Blend until strawberry chunks transform into juice. Combine strawberry juice, 6 cups water, 1 cup sugar, and lemon juice in a large pitcher. Chill before serving.

Go Bananas!

This banana cocktail smoothie is a healthier option for the kids. Perfect to get them feeling involved but still keeping it PG. This drink is quick and easy to make and tastes delicious. Most definitely will keep a smile on the kids’ faces.


  • 3 bananas
  • 3 cups fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 cups lemon sherbet
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Puree bananas in a blender or food processor. In a gallon pitcher combine pureed bananas, grapefruit juice, lemon sherbet and crushed ice. Stir and serve.

Oreo Milkshake

This is the ultimate treat for your kids to try. It may not be the healthiest of options but it sure does taste good. So, if you fancy treating the kids (and yourself) this summer then why not give it a go? the ultimate cocktails for kids recipe.


  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 Oreo cookies (or any type of chocolate sandwich cookie), plus 2 more for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce

Place the ice cream, milk, 8 of the Oreo cookies and the chocolate sauce in a blender. Crush the remaining Oreo cookies and pound on them with a rolling pin until they crumble. Pour the milkshakes into two glasses, and top each with crushed Oreo cookie crumbs.  Serve the shakes immediately, with a straw.
